Below you will find information about your arrival, your stay and your departure. You will also find an inventory list and instructions for using various appliances in the chalet. If any information is missing or if you have any questions, please let us know via the app or contact form.

Welcome to Chalet Dagpauwoog

      We are delighted that you have chosen to stay at Chalet Dagpauwoog at Camping De Reeënwissel!

      We hope you have a wonderful time here and enjoy the peace and quiet, the beautiful countryside and everything the surrounding area has to offer. On this page you will find practical information about the chalet and the campsite. If you have any questions, we will of course be happy to help.

      We wish you a very pleasant stay!

      Arrival

      You are welcome to arrive from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival.

      If the chalet is ready earlier, we will be happy to let you know. Feel free to contact us if you would like to arrive earlier; sometimes this is possible.

      When you arrive at the campsite, please first report to reception. Here you will receive the key to the chalet and can ask any questions you may have about the campsite.

      For access through the barrier, your car registration number will be registered at reception if you have not provided it in advance.

      Do you expect to arrive after 5:00 PM? Please let us know. We will then arrange for the key to be available in another way. In that case, please report to reception the following day.

      Camping App

      The Camping Comfort App is very useful during your stay. It includes:

      • Opening hours of the facilities
      • Ordering fresh bread
      • Activities at the campsite
      • Practical information about the surrounding area

      Scan the QR code at the entrance of the chalet or use the download link to install the app.

      After installing the app, please scan the QR code again or click the link once more to complete the registration and gain access to the app.

      Directions to the chalet

      Upon arrival, you can temporarily park your car in the short-stay parking area in front of the barrier while you check in at reception.

      Then enter the campsite and follow the road behind reception. Take the first road on the left towards Witte Bergen, then take the third road on the left. Chalet 109 is on the right-hand side.

      You can park your car in the private parking space next to the chalet.

      During your stay

      Wi-Fi

      Free Wi-Fi is available in the chalet.

      The easiest way to connect is by scanning the QR code at the entrance of the chalet. Alternatively, you can connect manually using the network name and password displayed near the entrance.

      Welcome package and cleaning supplies

      Upon arrival, the following items are provided to make you feel welcome:

      • Tea bags
      • Coffee capsules
      • Sugar
      • Coffee creamer
      • Spice rack*
      • Washing-up liquid*
      • Washing-up brush
      • Scouring sponge
      • Cleaning cloth
      • Rubbish bags
      • Toilet paper
      • Hand and body soap*

      Various cleaning supplies are also available, including all-purpose cleaner, toilet cleaner, a mop, bucket, dustpan and brush, and a vacuum cleaner. Spare batteries for the various lights and candles are also provided.

      * for general use

      Keys

      Upon arrival, you will receive a key to the chalet either from reception or via the key safe.

      The key to the storage shed is hanging in the central heating cupboard (the first cupboard on the left in the kitchen).

      A spare key for both the chalet and the storage shed can also be found there.

      Sleeping and bed linen

      Duvets and pillows are provided.

      Please bring your own:

      • Fitted sheets
      • Duvet covers
      • Pillowcases

      For hygiene reasons, please do not use the beds without bed linen.

      The mattress protectors should remain on the mattresses during and after your stay.

      Bedroom 1

      • Two single beds: 80 × 200 cm
      • One duvet: 240 × 200 cm

      Bedroom 2

      • Two separate single beds: 80 × 200 cm
      • Two duvets: 140 × 200 cm

      Two additional single duvets measuring 140 × 200 cm can be found in the wardrobe in bedroom 1.

      Heating

      The chalet has central heating, which also provides hot water.

      The thermostat is located opposite the kitchen worktop. Use the arrow buttons to easily set the desired temperature.

      For a comfortable indoor climate, please keep windows and doors closed when the heating is on.

      Air conditioning

      The chalet is equipped with air conditioning for extra comfort on warm days.

      For the best results:

      • Keep windows and doors closed.
      • Do not use the air conditioning for cooling while the central heating is on.

      The air conditioning can be operated using the remote control:

      • Press ON to switch on the air conditioning.
      • Use the MODE button to select cooling (❄️) or heating (☀️).
      • We recommend not using automatic mode (A).
      • Use the TEMP button to set the temperature.
      • Preferably set the fan to automatic (A).
      • Press OFF to switch off the air conditioning.

      Please switch off the air conditioning when leaving the chalet.

      Kitchen

      The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare your own meals, including:

      • Nespresso coffee machine
      • Kettle
      • Oven
      • 4-burner gas hob
      • Fridge/freezer
      • Crockery, pans and kitchen utensils

      Nespresso coffee machine

      Fill the water reservoir, press one of the buttons to heat the water, insert a capsule and, once the lights stop flashing, select either espresso or regular coffee.

      After approximately six cups, please empty and rinse the drip tray.

      Kettle

      Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water and press ON.

      Tea can also be prepared using the built-in tea holder. The water or tea can be kept warm using the KEEP WARM function.

      Gas hob

      The chalet has a 4-burner gas hob with automatic ignition.

      Oven

      Please use baking paper in the oven to keep the rack and baking tray clean.

      Baking paper and oven gloves can be found in the drawer underneath the oven.

      Operation:

      1. Use the left-hand knob to select the desired heating mode.
      2. Use the right-hand knob to set the desired temperature.
      3. Press SET to set the heating time.
        • Set the time using the + and buttons and confirm with OK.
        • The oven will now start preheating.
        • Then set the desired cooking time by pressing OK, followed by + or , and confirm with OK.
      4. After use, turn both knobs back to 0 to switch off the oven.

      Fridge

      The chalet has a fridge/freezer.

      Upon arrival, the fridge is set to a low setting (1). During your stay, you can of course adjust it to a higher setting if desired.

      TV and streaming

      The television can be operated using the remote control.

      In addition to regular TV channels, you can use apps such as YouTube, Netflix and NLZIET.

      Please remember to log out of your personal accounts before departure.

      Bluetooth speaker

      There is a Bluetooth speaker next to the television that can be used to play music from a phone or tablet.

      Instructions:

      • Press the power button to switch on the speaker.
      • The blue light will start flashing.
      • Connect your device to “Fresh 'n Rebel 1ARB510”.

      The speaker can be charged using the USB-C charger provided.

      Bathroom

      The bathroom includes:

      • Toilet
      • Shower with mixer tap
      • Washbasin with storage space
      • Hand and body soap

      Storage shed and garden

      The key to the storage shed is hanging in the central heating cupboard (the first cupboard on the left in the kitchen).

      The storage shed contains, among other things:

      • Cushions for the garden chairs
      • Parasol with base
      • Gardening tools
      • Manual lawn mower
      • A cupboard containing the owner's supplies

      There is a garden table and chairs on the terrace, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a meal or a pleasant evening outdoors.

      Waste

      There are rubbish bins in the kitchen and bathroom.

      Waste, paper and glass can be disposed of separately near reception. We appreciate it if you dispose of your rubbish regularly so that the chalet remains fresh and tidy.

      Safety

      For your safety, the following items are available in the central heating cupboard:

      • Fire extinguisher
      • Fire blanket
      • Smoke and carbon monoxide detector
      • First-aid kit

      Smoking and pets

      Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the chalet.

      If you wish to smoke outside, please use the ashtray hanging in the storage shed.

      Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the chalet.

      Campsite facilities

      • Reception

        At reception, you can ask questions about the campsite, the surrounding area and places to visit. Various brochures and walking and cycling routes are also available.

        Please check the camping app for current opening hours.

        Brasserie

        For a meal or a drink, you can visit the brasserie at the campsite. Table reservations and takeaway orders can be made through the camping app, where you can also find the opening hours.

        Fresh bread service

        Fresh bread rolls can easily be ordered through the camping app.

        Swimming pool

        During your stay, you can use the Hoogersmilde outdoor swimming pool, located directly next to the campsite, free of charge. More information and opening hours can be found in the camping app or at reception.

        The wristbands for admission are provided in the chalet (in the cupboard above the extractor hood). Please leave them in the chalet after use for the next guests. A replacement fee of €5 will be charged for each lost wristband.

        Laundry

        There is a laundry room in the reception building.

        A drying rack and clothes pegs are also available in the chalet.

        Bicycle rental

        Next to the campsite you will find Het Drentse Wold bicycle rental, where you can rent bicycles and mountain bikes to explore the beautiful surrounding area.

        On and around the campsite

        Other facilities on and around the campsite include:

      Departure

      We hope you have had a wonderful stay at Chalet Dagpauwoog.

      On the day of departure, please leave the chalet by 10:00 AM at the latest, so that we can prepare everything for the next guests.

      Before leaving, could you please check the following?

      ✅ Set the heating back to 8°C
      ✅ Switch off the air conditioning
      ✅ Switch off the lights
      ✅ Set the fridge back to 1
      ✅ Close all windows and doors
      ✅ Dispose of all rubbish and empty the Nespresso machine
      ✅ Leave all crockery clean
      ✅ Leave the mattress protectors on the mattresses
      ✅ Return the spare keys to the central heating cupboard
      ✅ Return the chalet key to reception or place it back in the key safe
